Rick Fairless’ “Natasha” (IronWorks Magazine)

Posted on IronWorks Website - 17 JUL 2012 BY SNAKEBIT SAM IN BLOG, PERSONALITY

Everyone in the motorcycle industry knows that Rick Fairless has a certain flair about him and that he often projects that into his custom bikes. With his trademark tie dyed shirts people think he’s lost in the ‘60s and his newest project might just exemplify that, but with a modern twist. Back in the ’60s ‘Rocky and Bullwinkle‘ was one of the hottest Looney Tunes cartoons going and the hottest babe in the show was Boris Badinoff’s partner in crime, Natasha. These days Victory is one of the hottest selling bikes going so naturally Rick was inspired to trick out a Victory using the “Way Back Machine” and his tie dye paint gun to pay homage to the Looney Tunes cartoons.

What came out is “Natasha”, an eye grabbing flashback to when cartoons (and life) were more simple and just plain fun. On the other hand the platform “Natasha” is built from is one of the most modernistic motorcycles in the world. When you see “Natasha” you’ll marvel at the intricate details and maybe reminisce about Saturday mornings way back when that were spent on the living room floor in front of the TV. If you want to get a good look at “Natasha” check out the September issue of IronWorks Magazine. “Natasha” not only graces the cover, there’s a feature story about her inside.

Now, maybe some of you can settle a raging debate going on in the IW Editorial offices. Certain people claim that the character’s name in the cartoon was Natasha Femme Fatale, while I say her name was Natasha Nogoodski. Who’s right? No matter, here’s a sneak peak teaser of “Natasha” and the September IW cover. To see more of “Natasha” get your hands on the September 2012 issue of IronWorks.
